1. Gangotri Glacier Trek
This is the best and extremely tedious trek in all of Himalayas. Though a bit tensing to undergo, it is probably the most enriching trek as well in terms of actual experience.
The Gangotri glacier is actually the starting point of the mighty river Ganga and is a breathtaking sight. With a great and Majestic view of snow-capped mountains and hills, this is a trek you must undertake.
2. Gomukh trek
This is a relatively easier trek and can be undergone with a basic fitness level. It is located in the Garhwal Himalayas and helps you look in wonder at as many as eight Himalayan peaks.
It also has cultural and traditional significance since it is considered as the holy mouth of the sacred cow from which another extremely important river- the Bhagirathi arises.
3. Kedarkantha trek
A pretty little trek, it is one of the easiest treks out there. Perfect for a family outing, this trek can be undertaken with your children as well (15+ years is preferable).
It has very beautiful campsites and the snow is something you cannot miss out on. You can even just laze around with your younger kids and have fun making snowmen with them.
4. Lord Curzon’s Trail
It is also called the Kuari Pass trek and is very popular among trekkers. On its way, you will come across lush forests and winter sceneries along with quaint little villages.
The view at the end is a very rewarding one with snow-capped mountains or beautiful hillsides depending on the climate at the time of your visit.
5. Chadar Frozen River Trek
The Chadar trek literally translates to a Blanket trek. You are supposed to walk on the icy sheet or blanket on the river Zanskar on this trek. Sounds exciting, right!
Not for the faint-hearted, please attempt this trek once you have practiced trekking beforehand,. Though it is as enticing as it sounds, it is best for amateurs and should be tried after mastering yourself at the many other easier treks.
6. Bhrigu Lake trek
This one is easy and breezy and perfect for beginners. The trek is located in the upper Kullu valley and is very beautiful to undertake. It can be completed in as little as 4 days and is a top recommendation from us.
This pristine blue lake is considered spiritually sacred and divine. There are many coniferous beauties surrounding it like the pines and deodars.
7. Kareri Lake Trail
It falls under the Easy to moderate category and is a great trek for some learning experience along with fun and frolic. It is advised for those wishing to go on a solo trip and having a zealous heart.
With many gushing streams and ancient villages along its trail, it’s a sight to behold. The latter half of the trail is a little more challenging and trains you for suture treks.
8. Goechala Trek
Gaze at the huge peak of Kanchenjunga at the start of this arduous but fulfilling trek. One of the difficult treks, it spans over a variety of terrains which makes you experience various things at once.
Starting with muddy roads and forests, it ends at a beautiful lowland and scenic beautiful trees.
9. Chopta Chandrashila Trek
It is one of the easiest treks located in Uttarakhand. It provides a scenic lakeside view on its route along with various snowy mountains. Nature lovers will love all the pink and red rhododendrons blossoming Enroute along with various other flora and fauna.
10. Annapurna Base Camp Trek
This trek spans through the exceptionally majestic Annapurna ranges and is moderately difficult to undertake. It is also one of the most popular treks and filled with abundant peaks and trees to photograph and fill your wanderlust soul with memories.
