Located in upper regions of the Kangra Dharamshala is the second capital of the state Himachal Pradesh. This city is extremely beautiful and is picturesque. 1) HCPA Stadium
HCPA stadium is the highest stadium in India. Located in Himachal Pradesh this stadium has the capacity of 23,000. This one of the most ideal stadiums in India because come on snow-clad beautiful peaks at one side and the beautiful game of cricket at the other. This ground is known for its fast pitches and therefore is the ideal and favourite pitch for all the fast bowlers.
This Cricket Stadium often serves as the practice ground for the Indian Cricket Team, Himachal Pradesh state-level cricket team, as well as Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab. 2) Dharamshala International Film Festival
Started in the year 2012 this is one of the leading independent film festivals of the country. This festival usually happens in November and sees a large number of people coming from far away lands. One can showcase their film making skills here and a nobody can become a somebody and take the stage. This is not only a film festival but in a way is a celebration of art. 3) Religious Tourism
Dharamshala is full of monasteries and temples. One can come here to reestablish their religion too. The famous spots here are-
a) Gyuto Monastery
Popularly known for its tantric and philosophy this is one of the most popular monasteries in Dharamshala. It was established in the year 1959 and was made to preserve black magic. This is made on a hilltop so one can see some beautiful and serene views. It consists of a gold plated statue of Budha and it shines in the sunlight.

b) Jwala Devi Temple
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Jwala Devi this is one of the 52 Shakhti Peethas in India. Jwala Devi is the Hindu goddess of fire. The Hindu goddess of fire. It is believed that this temple has holy flames which burn without any oil and fuel. It’s miraculous. The flames represent the nine forms of Goddess Durga – Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhya Vasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi. Usually, an offering of Rabri is served to the Goddess. This is one of the most famous temples in Dharamshala.

c) Namgyal Monastery
This is the largest Tibet monastery which is not located in Tibet. The calm and serenity attract the followers here. This monastery is often known as the ”Dalai Lamas temple” as it is personally dedicated to the 16th Dalai Lama. This monastery houses 200 monks and together they work towards protecting skills, books and the traditions of Tibet.

d) Bhagsunag Temple
This is one of the oldest and the most ancient temples. It is surrounded by two pools and these pools are said to be sacred and they gave healing powers. Tourist can experience beautiful views as well as they can worship here. It is one of the most beautiful temples here.

e) Masroor Rock Cut Temple
It is said that this temple was built in the 8th century and is dedicated to the Hindu Gods Shiva, Vishnu, Devi and Saura. It is said that this has Indo Aryan style of architecture and has 15 cut rocks. This temple has 3 entrances and is a really complex structure. The temple has intricate structures and has a pool which makes the temples a top tourist place.

4) Beauty Spots
located on the foothills of Himalaya Dharamshala has a lot of beauty spots. Some of the top spots are-
a) Dal Lake
This lake is surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful views this lake is known for its peaceful surroundings. Located 11km away from the main city this us a very famous spot. This lake is at the height of 1,775 meters above sea level. This lake is a treat for nature lovers.

b) Triund
This is one of the easiest treks in Himachal Pradesh and is located a few km away from the main city. This is a perfect trek and is filled with scenic views it’s a treat for nature lovers and people usually undertake this trek. Although camping isn’t allowed here because of certain reasons but one-day treks are allowed here. This trek is at the height of 2828m.

c) Bhagsu Fall
This is one of the most famous spots in Himachal Pradesh people usually come here for the sake of peace and to enjoy the serenity and calm here. The waterfall starts at the base of the Dhauladhar Valley, which is also considered to be a religious spot. Before reaching the fall it passes through the temple. Other than that one can find lip-smacking food around this region.
