Trekking is something we all want to experience in our lives at one point in time. The treks in Indian Himalayas allow us to experience it in snow. The trekking points give trekkers the views of some of the highest peaks of the mountain. Snow makes it hard to trek, but a lot of adventurous people opt for because it adds a different kind of charm. It will give us the experience to cherish for the rest of our life. It is important to hire a guide or professional while planning for treks. It will reduce the chances of accidents and incidents. A professional can prepare us for every situation, good or bad and also help us with the things we must carry. So here are some of the treks we can consider.
Sandakphu, West Bengal
It is one of the oldest trekking routes in India. Sandakphu is essentially a winter trekking experience and a very exciting one. It gives us the most incredible views of the mighty Mount Kanchenjunga. From here we can see the Sleeping Buddha bit of the mountain. The weather here is very unpredictable so wean expect to experience snow, hail, rain and sun. It is always suggested to take a guide along as food will be scarce as we climb higher. Mt. Everest can also be seen from here.

Nag Tibba Trek, Uttarakhand
It offers one of the best trekking experiences in India. It is known for winter treks and is one of the best bets when it comes to trekking in the Himalayas. It is located close to Mussoorie. The base of the place can be reached with the help of a vehicle and we can then complete the trek. The views of the surrounding hills are astounding, to say the least.
Dzongri, Sikkim
This incredible trek starts at Yuksom and takes us closer to Mount Kanchenjunga. It takes us through thick forest, deep into the heart of nature. We can ideally spend the night in Dzongri to catch the sunrise from the top-most point. Nothing can beat the cold wind and the warm sunshine coming together to caress us.
Kedarkantha, Uttarakhand
It takes us through the mesmerizing white snow. The snow remains here from December to April. The snow is lesser on the southern side so many trekkers prefer to climb from that side and descend from the northern side. It is always good to hire a guide and take professional help while planning such treks. The summit offers beautiful sites of snow-clad ranges of the region.
