But today, I am gonna tell you about the historical temples of the beautiful state Himachal Pradesh. Most of the temples in these northern states were built during the British period leaving a tint of British Architecture to it. Some of the temples are:

Bhoothnath Temple is located in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It is devoted to Lord Shiva and is famous for the Mahashivratri fair which is hosted every year. It is one of the major tourist attractions of Himachal Pradesh. Thousands of national as well as international tourist visit Bhoothnath Temple during the festival of Mahashivratri.
4. Chamunda Devi Temple
Chamunda Devi Temple is located in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most popular temples of Himachal Pradesh. It is visited by many devotees every year. It was set up by the King Of Kangra about 400 years ago. It is devoted to Chamunda Devi who is the mother goddess of Himachal Pradesh.

5. Jwala Devi Temple
Jwala Devi is another temple in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the Shaktipeeths among the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. Many tourist visit this temple as it is said that all your wishes come true if you seek blessings from Jwala Devi. It is devoted to the goddess Sati and is considered very holy.

6. Naina Devi Temple
Naina Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. It is situated near Bilaspur and is said to be set up by Raja Bir Chand. It is also devoted to the goddess Sati whose one eye is said to be fallen on the same exact spot where the temple is built. It is one of the historical temples and is said to be built in the 8th century.
7. Vashisht Temple
Vashisht Temple is situated in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It is devoted to Sage Vashisht who visited this place to meditate. This temple has natural ponds or springs of water where visitors can take a bath in the holy water and seek blessings. It is one of the most visited temples as it is said that the springs have medicinal properties and can cure any ailments. It is a very popular temple and thousands of devotees visit this holy shrine every year.
