It is a popular destination among trekkers and mountaineers. But it is still counted as one of the offbeat destinations near Delhi since it is not yet frequented regularly by tourists. The best part of this quaint little hamlet in Uttrakhand is that we can have a vivid view of the Panchachuli peak from here. It is also the starting point for the Milam glacier trek.
It is situated in the Nainital district of Uttaranchal; it’s a small peaceful hill station. This place is perfect for nature lovers to indulge in bird watching. There are around 580 species of birds in this area. It shares its boundaries with the dense forest of Cheena Peak Range. It’s perfect for trekking, bird watching, exploring wildlife and camping. Pangot is full of scenic views to soothe our wandering soul.
It is a Himachali beauty located near Mcleodganj on the road to Palampur. The place has lush tea gardens rolling over the hills and mesmerises people with the sound of toads and chirping of birds. Here, we can view the majestic Dhauladhars standing tall over the delightful hamlet.

The Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is another paradise for bird watchers. It’s a fairly offbeat destination around Delhi that’s not been stormed by commercialization and tourists. This sanctuary is home to around 200 species of birds along with various reptiles. It gives a 360-degree view of Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Shivling and Trishul from Binsar Zero Point which is breathtakingly surreal. It’s one of the beautiful and scenic places near the Kumaon region and offers jaw-dropping views of some amazing Himalayan peaks. It is another unknown Kumaon beauty offering surreal sights of the snow-clad peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Panchachuli. They are some of the tallest peaks of the Himalayas. It has the Gandhi Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi stayed in 1992. A few km away are Rudradhari Falls and Caves. These are some of the famous tourists attractions. We can also pay a spiritual visit at Baijnath Temple which is an hour away from Kausani.
