Built-in the shape of the Lotus flower, the temple is a major tourist attraction in Delhi. Lotus Temple in Kalkaji is simply devoted to the religion called Bahai. Opened in 1986, it is one of the top sacred places in Delhi. Moreover, the temple has several architectural awards for excellence in religious art. You can spend hours meditating and relaxing in silence all around the temple.

Inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Kalam in 2005, the temple is an epitome of true spirituality and Hindu beliefs. The word ‘Akshardham’ means the divine abode of God. Every corner and element is dipped in devotion and purity. Visiting Akshardham or Swaminarayan temple is a spiritually enriching experience. Moreover, you can even enjoy the breathtaking Sahaj Anand water show which starts soon after sunset. The campus includes the Mandir with over two hundred murtis, a hall with robotics, gardens, and dioramas depicting Swaminarayan’s life. Also, Akshardham temple holds the Guinness record for the world’s largest comprehensive Hindu Temple.

Since the 17th century, the temple is being praised by everyone for its red-stone unique structure. Apart from Red Fort, the temple in old Delhi is the major attraction for the tourist. Digambar Jain Lal Mandir is a worship place for Jains in the city. Housing many shrines and statues of Tirthankaras, the temple marks the historical incident of the first Digambara monk to visit Delhi after eight centuries. Visiting the Digambar Jain temple will you peace and knowledge related to Jain Dharm.

One of the five ancient temples built during the time of Mahabharat, Hanuman Mandir has 108 feet tall statue of Hanuman Ji. Settled in Delhi, the temple is the most prominent and best viewed from Jhandewalan and Karol Bagh metro station. The ceiling of Hanuman mandir is imprinted by the images of Lord Rama which is worth admiring. Moreover, the temple is acclaimed for its listing in the Guinness world record for the continuous chanting of ‘Sri Ram, Jai Ram’.

Located 1 Km away from INA metro station, the temple is open to everyone indifferent to any caste, creed or religion. To visit Jagannath temple, all you need to be a devotee of Lord Jagannath. Situated in Hauz Khas, the temple was built by the Oriya community of Delhi. Furthermore, the Jagannath temple is mainly dedicated to Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and his sister Subhadra.

The temple is dedicated to one of the nine Goddesses worshiped during Navratri that is Goddess Katyayani. Chhatarpur temple was built in 1974 by Hindu sage and spread over 70 acres of area. The temple premises are divided into three complexes contains 20 major and minor temples housing different statues of Hindu Gods. During the time of Navratri, lakhs of people visit the temple.
